Caution: These instructions are only valid for firmware A1.5 and greater. To check your firmware version, plug in the system. It will beep, light up, and display the version for 2.5 seconds. Refer to our firmware instructions for guidance on updating your firmware.
Below you will find useful instructions for using Manage Mode and enabling or disabling Locked Manage Mode.
How to Use Manage Mode:
Pressing the MANAGE button will start Manage Mode and turn on the auxiliary power. Manage Mode will continuously monitor and distribute power until manually stopped. Devices can be connected or disconnected at any time without restarting the charging cycle, making this mode ideal for when devices are left on or connected at different times. For devices that are powered ON or are “sleeping” when connected, the system will charge the devices and then maintain them at full charge. Press the MANAGE button again to stop manage mode.
Note: In Manage Mode, the system first evaluates the power draw of all connected devices, then begins distributing power accordingly. Initially, as few as one or as many as four sections may begin charging. If the connected devices have very low battery levels, the system may prioritize charging one section until the batteries reach a sufficient level to support additional charging. Eventually, all devices will receive power.
How to Enable Locked Manage Mode:
For environments where Manage Mode is consistently used, the system can be conveniently locked to automatically enter Manage Mode each time it is plugged in. When Locked Manage Mode is enabled, the front panel buttons will no longer function, but will still produce a clicking sound, until the mode is turned off.
Connect the Intelligent Charging System to a power source. As it turns on, the system will beep, light up, and display the firmware version for 2.5 seconds (A).- Press and hold the MANAGE button within the first 10 seconds of power up for 4 seconds until the system chirps (B). The LCD display will display "A6", meaning the locked manage mode has been enabled successfully (C).
- Unplug the system from its power source and then plug it back in. The system will now automatically start in Manage Mode.
Note: When Locked Manage Mode is enabled, the front panel buttons will no longer function, but will still produce a clicking sound, until the mode is turned off.
How to Disable Locked Manage Mode:
Connect the Intelligent Charging System to a power source.- Press and HOLD the CHARGE button for 10 seconds, a confirmation beep will play.
- Press the MANAGE button within the next 3 seconds to disable the “Locked Manage” mode.
Note: When successfully disabled, a confirmation sound will play, and the display will briefly show the message "OFF" (D).
